Meet Larry

Service
Larry brings a unique blend of military service and law enforcement experience to the Idaho House of Representatives. He was born in Ft Stewart, Georgia, and grew up in a military family. Larry's early life was marked by a commitment to service and community, starting as a Police Explorer and being part of the FFA leadership program.
Joining the US Navy, Larry traveled the world and served with distinction during Operation Restore Hope in Somalia, and his deployment in the Persian Gulf. His time in the Navy instilled in him a deep understanding of the challenges faced by service members and the importance of global diplomacy.
After his naval service, Larry transitioned to a career in law enforcement near Seattle, Washington. His time as a police officer honed his skills in leadership, crisis management, and community engagement, further preparing him for the responsibilities of public office. Larry is dedicated to supporting veterans, enhancing national security, and fostering strong community-police relations.

Making Changes
Larry had a unique opportunity to take a job with Microsoft. He started at the bottom and worked his way up. He eventually changed roles and built a multi-million-dollar business within Microsoft. There he learned how to run and grow an organization in a corporate world.
In June of 2020 Larry and his family came to Rexburg for the birth of their first granddaughter. "We realized that this is where we were supposed to be. There was something special here. We were prompted by the spirit. A few months later the prompting was stronger, and knew we needed to move."
Larry resides in Menan with his wife Jennifer. They have four kids and two grandkids.
He enjoys spending time with family, woodworking, photography, everything firearms related, and cooking. He also taught beekeeping for 6 years at WSU. He is a member of the Rexburg Farmers Market and sits on the board, which keeps him connected to the people in his district.
What Matters Most
Family First
Larry came from a family of immigrants and his Great-Great Grandfather became a US Citizen and served in WWI. He was taught that family comes first and to respect your elders. He was taught the importance of doing your best and giving it everything. He passed on those same values to his children.
Border Security
Our open and unsecure borders are the main access point for illegal immigration and terrorists. We can see how this is impacting other larger metropolitan cities and they are doing nothing to stop it. We need to ensure that this doesn't happen in Idaho.
Law Enforcement
During COVID and the riots, we quickly saw how Law Enforcement was treated. We need to support our men and women in uniform. We need to ensure they have the best training and tools to do their jobs.
The 2nd Amendment
Larry believes in the Constitution as it was written. Our 2A rights are as important as the 1st. They are not something that he will back down on. He will continue to fight for your right to defend yourself and each other.
Education
Coming from Washington, Larry has seen firsthand how bad our education system can get. Parental rights have been taken away in lieu of woke ideas. We need to put our children's education back on top. Parents should know exactly what is happening inside of our schools.
Stop the Bleeding!
We have been spending money like there is no tomorrow. This is unacceptable! We need to be treating taxpayer dollars like they are our own. We need to stop giving money away and spending it in areas that we shouldn't. Financial responsibility is on each of us. We cannot keep printing money.
